Truro Belle
The recently named Truro Belle has been operating in the Falmouth area for over 15 years, previously named the 'Black Swan', she used to run as part of the Park and Float Service. She was built in 1944 as a passenger vessel in World War II. After her years of service she spent her time in Falmouth as the Queen of Helford' until 1960 she moved to the Isle Of Scilly as a island connecting passenger vessel. These days Truro Belle is seen operating all over the Truro/Falmouth waterways carrying passengers up and down the local rivers.

All About Us!
We are made up of 3 people,
Rhos, our main skipper was brought up in the famous Smugglers cottage of Tolverne and also spent his childhood on the river messing around on boats just like his father, uncle and grandfather before him. Sadly due to the closure of Tolverne in 2021 and the passenger trade in decline, Newmans Cruises was affected Rhos joined Fal River in 2018 but is now back operating for himself once more.
Simon, our second skipper and the main man in our ticket office, Simon was born in Malpas Village just 2 miles down river from Truro. He was brought up on the Enterprise boats throughout the 1970’s, he then went on to work for Enterprise in the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. Since Enterprise, Simon has gone on to run his own company Great Western Riverboats from 2007-2016 before joining Fal River up until last year, now working with Truro River Cruises his goal is clear, to provide others with the same lucky memories he was able to experience as a child.
Matt, our last worker deals with most of the bookings and social media not to mention is also the main crew on Truro Belle. Matt started going on the river when he was 7 with his uncle, since then he has worked for Kernow Cruises and Fal River as a fully trained crew and office staff, now with more freedom and responsibility, Matt is focused on making Truro River Cruises one of the beat passenger boat businesses in Cornwall.
